I received a call from someone who was acting as if they were trying to reach a mate (Lucas) of theirs, inquiring why he hadn’t responded to their message. I told them they had the wrong number, to which they claimed my number was just a single digit different from their friend's. Then, they went on to ask me where I was based. I chose not to respond after that.

Just got a message addressed to 'Emily', but I’m definitely not a lady! So, straight away, I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number. Ridiculous, really!

Got a call from someone calling me Emily, but I’m a guy. Only sent texts though, probably trying to flirt to trick me or something. Definitely seems fishy like a scam.

Got two texts today where they called me Emily, even though I'm a bloke. I reckon they might have said sorry for texting the wrong person at first, then probably tried to flirt with me to set up some kinda romance scam later. Didn't reply to either message and just blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from this number today but didn’t pick up since I didn’t know it and it wasn’t saved in my contacts. It came up with a +44 code, so I thought it was outside the UK. Turns out it’s linked to Telefonica.
