Got a text about some fire door inspection today, seemed dodgy to me. I just deleted it straight away and rang up my housing office to double check. Turns out it was a total scam!

Today, 22/05/24 at about 11:30, I received a message from this number saying a visit had been attempted but noone was in. I was actually in the kitchen at the time and didn't hear any knocks or doorbell. The text advised me to get in touch with my housing officer, Sonia Davidson, to set up a new appointment. It said it was an automated message and not to reply. Feels a bit dodgy to me, not sure if it's legit or a scam.

I got a message about a fuel appointment set between 10 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon from this number 07860097727. When I googled it, it came up as Walsall Housing Group, but I live all the way in Scotland, so I reckon it’s probably a scam.

This is an automated message so don’t respond. It really feels like a scam since there was no heads-up before this “visit”.

Received a text from someone called Kimberly Doig saying to get in touch with the housing officer. The message was along the lines of, “Hi (my name), I called at your place on 28/07/2023 at 13:24 but no one was in. Please contact your Housing Office to set up another visit. Kind regards, Kimberley Doig. This is an automated message, so don’t reply.” I’m not bothering to call back since if it was genuine, they’d probably leave a voicemail or send a letter through the post. Feels like a scam to me, honestly.
