I just got a message claiming it’s from my GP with a forms.gle survey link attached. No way am I clicking that to check if it’s genuine. It’s coming from a mobile number and the link isn’t from the official website, so that’s a massive warning sign to me. Don’t be daft. If you think it might be legit, find your local practice or NHS site through the proper channels and ask them directly instead of taking the risk. If this is actually how the NHS is doing things, then honestly, they need to sort out a better system.

A GP from Llan healthcare warned: “WARNING: The Health Board informed us about a text scam going around. No commas, no full stops, nothing. Plus the number on my caller ID is dodgy; I dialled it with 141 before, and it says the number doesn’t exist. It’s terrible how these scammers stoop so low, messing up GP’s phone lines. My worst fear is that this isn’t just a prank but a sinister effort to interfere with public health services.

I guess they expect me to listen to the whole message. Also, for weeks now I’ve had annoying calls claiming Microsoft says my PC’s been hacked. They’re so irritating.
