This lot said they were from the NHS but it turns out they're run by some company called Linpowave. They tried to get me to cancel my CT scan appointment, claiming "tests like that do us major damage every time." Honestly, it felt really dodgy. Best to avoid them altogether, but if you end up having to deal with them, just be blunt and tell them to get lost.

My mum received a text from this number saying she had a doctors appointment. On the day it was supposed to be, she rang her gp surgery to check and they told her she never had anything booked. Feels like when she phoned the number, it must have sent her to a really expensive premium line. Total scam if you ask me.

Honestly, I was a bit anxious at first, but I clicked on the first part of the link and it seemed legit. When I entered the full link along with the fob and pin, it showed my name and confirmed a phone appointment next month with a clinic I’ve been waiting to hear from. My dad got a message saying it was from Manchester Uni NHS trust about an operation, with a link, pin and asking for his DOB. Luckily, he doesn’t have any surgery planned so he was wary of it. I’d be sceptical about others saying it’s genuine - I really don’t think the NHS would ask for that info like that. This was actually a real link from Manchester University NHS Trust. Looks like they’re trying out a new way to get in touch with patients, but it defiantly comes off as dodgy. Not the brightest idea. 07860 054507 called me saying I need to click a link about my daughter’s hospital appointment. They claimed it’s from the NHS portal and gave a reference plus her DOB to “access” it. What’s really scary is they already knew my daughter’s name and info, and that we’re expecting an appointment. These scammers are disgusting and I really hope they get caught. Targeting people when they’re worried is horrible. Don’t reply to this message, it’s a trap.

Got a message saying they were from my dentist's office asking me to confirm my details. They had my full name and even the exact dental practice I used to go to. Just a heads up to be cautious with stuff like this.

Got a message today saying it was from Lancashire Teaching NHS Foundation Trust, calling it a patient portal digital letter invite. They told me to click this link [#]nhsportal[###]/yaWuz0 and log in with a pin they sent plus my DOB. I reckon they were after my date of birth. The timing's a bit odd since I just made a hospital appointment today, so at first I thought it was legit.

Got this message at 4pm today, was waiting on some NHS appointments so I reached out to the hospital directly. The letter I got didn’t show a date or say which outpatient clinic it was from. Tried the link on my phone but it wouldn’t open. Between the 2 departments mentioned, one genuine letter’s on its way through the post and the other said because of Covid the appointments will be really delayed. I called the number in the text but it said it doesn’t exist. Pete.

Watch out for this number! I got a text about an appointment I supposedly have, with new details and asked me to reply saying I’d go. It even said to text STOP to cancel and sounded really legit, even mentioned a £105 charge to the NHS for missed appointments. Don’t reply or call back, it seems like a proper scam!

Got a message from this number saying I have an appointment on 10/3/20 at 2.50pm? It didn’t say who it’s with, just that if I don’t show up, I might be discharged back to my GP. I’ve no idea what this appointment is supposed to be for, and not saying makes it worse. Seems dodgy to me, probably some kind of scam.

Got about 7 messages in just 90 minutes (5 were in Welsh) telling me, as a valued nhs worker, to get my flu jab and follow a link to book at Llandudno or Deeside hospital. The worrying part is I *do* work for the nhs, so idk how they found out or got my number, which I hardly share with anyone. I did check car insurance quotes on Go Compare the day before, so maybe they somehow snagged my info from there? Feels like too much of a coincidence if not.

Got a text from 07860 054507 claiming to be from my nearby NHS Trust. The message included a link and a pin code, saying it was an invite to a digital outpatient letter via a patient portal. It asked me to enter my date of birth after logging in (which I didn’t do). I took a closer look at the link [#]nhsportal[###] and couldn’t find any legit website by that name. To me, this seems like an obvious scam.

Got a text reminding me about an appointment on 21/9/20 but it doesn’t say what it’s for or who sent it, so I’ve no clue what it’s about. After looking at other comments, I’m thinking it might just be a scam.

I received a reminder for an appointment from Cannock Chase Hospital, but the message didn’t make it clear enough. I ended up wasting quite a bit of time trying to figure it all out! It would have been much more helpful if they'd included those details right in the message.

This is absolutely disgraceful. Last Saturday while I was heading to my cancer clinic, I got a message from 07860054507 saying I’d cancelled my appointment and they couldn’t reschedule, plus a £150 charge for cancelling. I rang the official number and they told me this was all a lie. I’m so relieved I didn’t believe the text - with everything going on, especially with Covid, I could’ve missed something vital. I’m just thankful I went and really hope they catch whoever is behind this rotten scam. It’s beyond disgusting.

Around mid July, I received a text saying "your appointment has been cancelled" but it didn’t say who it was from. The date matched an appointment I had coming up at the dentist. I decided to call the dental practice to confirm, and yes, they had actually sent the message and cancelled my booking. Looks like the "{my}dentist" team use this number to send legit texts.

Got a text supposedly from South Tyneside & Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust telling me to 'logon' using a link and a 4 digit pin [#]nhsportal[###]/TgC80J. It said it was about an appointment. I've never had anything like this before and as far as I know, i dont have any appointments coming up. I replied to the message saying i don’t recognise it and asked them to send any appointment details by post instead.

I got a message from the number +44 7860 054507, which didn’t say NHS No Reply or anything official. It said something like “On 29/06/2020 at 09:00 am you’ll get a call from a Neurology Consultant about a referral from your GP. For more info call 02083709079.” When I rang that number, the lady on the line just said she was from “appointments” but wouldn’t say which hospital or service. She then asked me for personal details like my hospital reference and DOB without explaining who she really was or where the call was coming from. Felt a bit dodgy to me.

I've gotten a few calls from this number, I think it was the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. They were confirming appointment details with me. When I used the rebooking code they gave, I managed to change my appointment and then got a letter to confirm the new date. Seems legit to me, fingers crossed it is!

Got a text from this number a moment ago. The message was supposedly from Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust about coronavirus precautions. It explained how appointments might now be done over the phone or via video chat to keep everyone safe. They said that if video calls work for you, reply with VIDEO 7550. If only phone calls are possible, reply PHONE 7550. And if neither is doable, you should text back NO 7550. Pretty direct and to the point, I guess.
