First thing they said was "Finally got your number, how you doin?" Be careful not to give out any personal info or reply too much, they might be able to track where you are or what you’re up to.

Got a message from some scammer saying they’ve got my new number and asking how I’m doing. I asked who it was and they replied, “It’s me, Lyndsey.” Problem is, I don’t know anyone called that. I checked with my mum, and she reckoned it’s likely a scam and told me to quit replying because it might charge me for the texts.
