I’ve recently found myself in a rather perplexing situation. I signed up for an iPhone 7 contract with Carphone Warehouse, and out of the blue, I discovered this phone number associated with it. Now, the curious part is that I’ve never opened a bank account, so I’m utterly baffled as to how this has transpired. I've contacted Action Fraud to report this incident and informed Carphone Warehouse as well. It’s particularly concerning because they seemed to have 95% of my personal information spot on, aside from my banking details and email address. Yet, they still managed to get my date of birth and home address without a hitch! It’s left me feeling quite unsettled.
