Got hit with three texts all in the space of a few minutes. Each time I replied with STOP, another message popped up instead. The first asked me to confirm an O2 free SIM order. Then another claimed thanks for checking my credit report and score. The third was about showing interest in Riverford. Problem is, I’ve never signed up for any of these! Plus, I’m getting loads more dodgy texts - probably about 10 daily. I really have no clue how to make it stop without switching my number completely!

Got hit with 3 texts in a row really quickly. Each time I replied with STOP, I'd get a new message instead. First one asked me to confirm an O2 free SIM order, then another thanking me for checking my credit score, and the last one was about Riverford. I never asked for any of those and get random spam messages all day long - like 10 daily! No clue how to make it stop without having to change my number, which I really don’t want to do.

If you get a message like that, just text it onwards to 7726. You'll receive a message back asking for the original number, which you then send over. This helps your provider track and deal with the issue.
