If this really is a Halifax number it’s either been compromised or some dodgy person inside the bank is using it, cos when you call back it connects you straight to a well-known SCAMMERS number 03330459571. Best avoid it completely.

I got a message purportedly from Lloyds Bank. Be aware, it’s a fraud! It claims that my attempt to pay Scoresmaster was unsuccessful. It’s asking me to reply with a yes or no. Stay vigilant, everyone!

Got a text from 07860 028560 and it was actually my bank (Lloyds) letting me know they’d stopped a purchase online. The message came through shortly after I tried buying something, saying they spotted some odd activity and wanted to check it was me. Turned out it was, so I made the purchase again with no problems. Still, not sure why they’re bothering with a mobile number and messages that sound a bit suspicious, it threw me off at first.

Got a couple of texts today saying they were from Lloyds Bank about a card ending in 4553. The first one said I’d get a message soon to confirm some card activity. Then the second message said a payment at Deliveroo for £27.70 was declined and asked me to reply YES or NO if it was me. The sender was +447860028560. I checked my Lloyds bank account online and there was nothing unusual. Pretty sure this is a scam - don’t fall for it!

Got a text from Lloyds asking me to reply YES or NO after a real failed online payment. Loads of people here say it’s a scam, but this one was legit. If you’re unsure, best ring the bank yourself, as there might be dodgy stuff happening on your account.

Really clever scamming going on here. I first got a text that looked like it was from Halifax saying there would be a message about a charity donation on my card. Then a message arrived from a different number than the one I usually get from Halifax. (How did they manage to spoof that?) I replied 'no' to that number and immediately got an automated call from yet another number! Alarm bells rang loud when they started asking me for the 3-digit code on the back of my card!! I contacted Halifax straight away to block my card.

Looks like another Halifax scam. They claimed i gave £73 to some charity. I texted back 'no' and then got an automated call. Didn't bother responding. The day before, I got a text with what looked like a legit Halifax logo and everything. These scammers are getting way smarter. Usually, I don’t get caught up in this stuff.

Got a call saying it was from Halifax, but now I’m pretty sure it was a scam. They mentioned a £1 charge which I stupidly allowed on my Halifax debit card. I did get a message from Halifax before, but thinking back, that might’ve been fake as well. I’ve cancelled my debit card now. Can’t believe I fell for it. The scammer’s info was Ekmit3[###]. Just a heads up to everyone, stay alert and watch out.

Got a text saying it was Lloyds bank using part of my card digits and a recent payment I did - "reply YES if it was you, if not reply NO". They also phoned me from 03330459557. Really tricky to figure out if this is legit or just a scam.

Got a message from Lloyds Bank saying I'd get a text soon to verify some recent transactions. Later on, I got a text from +117860028560 about a card being used in India and the payment being refused. I rang up Lloyds and they said the text really was from them.

I phoned this number today and it really is Lloyds Bank. I just wanted to verify the contact number on the back of my bank card. If you get a call from this number, I’d suggest calling your bank using a reliable, official number instead.

First I got a message claiming to be from Lloyd's (not Halifax) saying my card might have been hacked. Then, right after, this number sent another text asking me to reply yes or no if it was me making a purchase on my debit card. Had a look at my bank account and nothing's been spent. Always ring your bank straight away using the number on the back of your card or your account info, but only after making sure your phone line’s free. Don’t even say your name if you get a call out of the blue! Don’t hang about either, there might be an issue with your account that needs sorting quick, but you can't know for sure until you check. Be cautious and stay safe everyone!

Received a text from 07860 028560 saying it was Bank of Scotland about a payment coming from my account. Asked me to press yes or no to confirm. I rang my bank and they said it's definitely a scam. They took the number and are sending it to their fraud team. Don’t reply to these texts, it's risky.
