Got a message from BoS saying there was some activity on my bank account and that I’d get a text from the Bank of Scotland on this number. The payment was just 45p and they wanted me to reply YES or NO if it was me. I didn’t reply but gave the bank a ring because there was a pending charge of 45p on my statement. Turns out the messages were genuine. After I confirmed it wasn’t me, I got another text saying the fraud team would be in touch by phone.

Haha you people crack me up - its definetly Lloyds Banking Groups fraud team calling and yeah its normal for banks to ask for sort code and account number to confirm stuff. You might not know the number coz its probably not from the usual call centre. If youre unsure just ring up using the number on their official site and double check.

At first, we reckoned it was a scam because we got a text saying payment declined from Halifax. Then a mobile called about it, so I rang Halifax on their official number and thankfully I did. Turns out someone had done fraud on my husband's account linked to some EU Bolt company.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Halifax, total scam. They sounded really legit, but please don't be fooled. Never respond to their messages. Just hang up and contact your actual bank straight away before they drain your account. Towards the end, they even threatened me, saying they'd take all my money and stalk me at home. They knew my address too. I've reported it to the police!

This number seems legit. I usually get texts from Lloyds Bank saying a second message will come after. The second message shows transaction details and asks if it was you. If you reply YES, the bank records it. If you reply NO, they send a code to use when you call the Fraud team on a verified number (they won’t send this number in any texts). Scammers normally try to get you to call a number in their messages. So, this number appears safe.

I got texts from this number to my phone. The last four digits were wrong tho. My bank said its nothing to stress about for now, but if they send messages again with the correct digits, I should get in touch. Seems quite risky.

I got a text saying someone tried to make an unauthorised payment from my bank account. Then another message came through telling me to ring 03330459583. This is definitely a phishing scam. Don’t respond or ring these numbers, it’s dodgy.

Avoid responding to any messages from this number. It's definitely not a real Bank of Scotland contact, but somehow they manage to find out which bank you use along with the last 4 digits of your card and the most recent payment you attempted.

Got a message from this number saying something about my Bank of Scotland card having a weird transaction, gave last four digits of card and all that. I was a bit wary so I called my bank using the official number I already had, and sure enough, there were 4 charges on my card that I never made. Bank's cancelled my card and will send me a new one, but this number is legit - it’s from Lloyds Group, like Halifax and Bank of Scotland’s fraud team.
