I got a message from '07860008020' saying they needed my account number and sort code to go ahead with my Credit Card application. They asked me to reply within 48 hours to sort it out. Bit suspicious if you ask me!

I got two texts after I applied for a credit card that seemed a bit dodgy. First, one came from ‘Natwest’ saying something like: “Cheers for your credit card application. We need to verify a few more details before moving forward. We’ll be contacting you from a secure number ending 020 for you to share that info.” Then, another text landed from '07860008020' asking me to send my account number and sort code within 48 hours to continue. Since I’m already a Natwest customer, surely they can see that info in their system? It felt suspicious, so I reported it to Natwest’s fraud team straight away.

I keep getting these dodgy texts every week now.

One from 'Natwest' saying:
"Thank you for applying for a Credit Card. To proceed, we need to verify a bit more info with you. We'll send a message from a secure number ending in 020 so you can give those details."

Then another from '07860008020' that goes:
"In order to continue with your Credit Card application, please send your sort code and account number by replying here within 48 hours. Cheers."

I got a call about a credit card application supposedly with NatWest, and then they wanted my bank info to sort it out. Felt fishy to me.

Like another commenter mentioned, it’s supposedly NatWest and connected to my credit card application. But I believe everything’s sorted now, so why on earth are they still asking for my bank information? Feels dodgy to me and honestly, NatWest should really rethink how they handle this.

I'm kinda iffy about this number. They called about a credit card application and started asking for my bank info, which I’m definitely not giving out. Not sure if it's legit or a scam.
