I had a rather perplexing phone call at my workplace earlier. The call informed me about an SMS I had received and prompted me to either listen to, save, or delete it. My initial thought was that it was a colleague from the night shift ringing in to let us know they wouldn’t be coming in. To my surprise, it was actually from some sort of Academy notifying me that their workshop tickets were all gone. I've never even signed up for anything like that! Honestly, what a kerfuffle to go through just to hear that message. It felt far more irritating than those pesky auto-dialer calls. Our switchboard is already buzzing with genuine inquiries, so we certainly don’t need unwanted calls cluttering up the lines like this. What a nuisance!
