Got a call about a loan approval I never applied for, and they even had my name wrong. No idea how they got hold of my number - feels like one of those scam calls. I’ve blocked the number now, but it’s quite concerning... could someone be using my number without me knowing?

Got this dodgy text pretending to be from Amigo Loans, with a link to complete an application I never even began. Plus, the message wasn’t even addressed to me by my actual name! Total scam if you ask me.

Just got a text for some £3000 loan application, and it was addressed to a STEVIE. Pretty sure it’s a total scam.

Avoid engaging with this number or any related emails regarding a loan; it’s a complete con.

Ugh, got this text AGAIN: Hello Gerald (Ford, if you follow the link) with an Amigo loan, you get flexible repayments. That means you can pay extra anytime without extra fees. Plus, you have 24/7 access to your balance to keep an eye on how much you owe. Apply here: amigo/PT5KP2TB Your guarantor should be okay with paying if you don’t. Cheers, Emily @ Amigo. I've been inundated with messages and calls claiming that I've secured a loan and that I need to provide details for a guarantor. I've reported this nonsense and promptly blocked the number.

Got a couple of texts sent to an Alison, but that's not me. At first, I figured it was probably meant for someone else, but then I got another one. The first was from Think Money, and the second came from Amigo Loans. Haven't responded or clicked any links, so hopefully it’s just a mix-up and nothing sketchy happening.

Got bombarded with a bunch of random texts, none of which were meant for me. Loads of messages popped up at once, all about loans and from various numbers. Then, the next day, I started getting calls from Easy Loan - felt really sketchy. One of the texts said it was from Amigo Loans, claiming they’d accepted a loan request from Gateway2Finance and could lend up to £10,000. I just ignored it, blocked everything, and plan to report it to the ICO as soon as their website stops crashing!

I've received a barrage of text messages regarding a loan that I've supposedly been cleared for, and they keep addressing me as "Spencer." Quite frustrating, to say the least!

I'm constantly getting texts every few hours calling me "Spencer" and trying to push money loans on me. Quite annoying really.

I kept getting texts from different numbers after I blocked the earlier ones. Every message called me Alexis and said my loan was approved. Pretty clear that it was a scam.

Got a text from this number saying: Hi Wendy, we're excited to help you start driving and your application has been approved. Just head over to [edited out WEBSITE FOR AMIGO LOAN] to finish your form. Amigo offers loans up to £10,000 with repayments spread over 1 to 5 years. Most people get their money within a day. You’ll need a guarantor who will cover payments if you can’t. Emily @ Amigo. REPRESENTATIVE 49.9% APR (VARIABLE). To opt out, reply stop. Thing is, I'm not Wendy!

For ages they've been texting me about loans and ringing non stop. I finally answered yesterday and told them to stop calling because I'm not interested anymore. But annoyingly, they've already phoned me twice today again!

For the past two weeks, I've been inundated with calls from this number, along with a few others, all claiming my loan application has been successfully accepted by their so-called partners. It's clearly a con, and I've resolutely chosen not to respond to any of their annoying messages. If only I could track down their address; I'd love nothing more than to confront them face-to-face and articulate my utter frustration. Alas, I realise that's a distant dream and it’s unlikely to ever come to fruition!

I’m usually quite guarded about sharing my mobile number, but I had no choice when I made a reservation for a holiday down in Cornwall. In less than half an hour, I was bombarded with eight messages from various numbers, one of which belongs to this site. All the texts claimed I’d applied for a loan, and bizarrely, they addressed me by a name that isn’t even mine! It’s been a constant stream of messages ever since. Has anyone else who booked a holiday online in the UK encountered this peculiar situation?

I've always been quite secretive with my mobile number, but I had to share it when I arranged a trip to Cornwall. Would you believe it? Barely 20 minutes later, I received a barrage of eight messages from various unknown numbers, this one included! They were all claiming I had applied for a loan, and to top it off, they were addressing me by a name that isn't even mine. The ridiculous texts keep rolling in sporadically. Has anyone else experienced similar nuisance after booking a holiday online in the UK?

I've been receiving messages from this number claiming I've submitted a form by post. They instruct me to follow three specific steps to secure a guarantor for my repayments. Apparently, if I return the form, I'll get my loan disbursed. Has anyone else encountered this? FLM. Any idea who this could be?

I received a message from this number regarding a loan that I was supposedly eligible for. However, instead of receiving any funds, all I got was some vague information, and they've also withdrawn money from my bank account without any explanation. I'm quite perplexed about what steps I should take next. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Received a trio of messages from different digits in the span of just half a day: 1. A notification from Priority Money indicating that a £68 charge was looming. 2. A call from the same number, where they addressed me as Victoria and urged me to sign up at http://amigo.me/QSQGNJL (allegedly from someone named Jonathan). 3. A missive from TMA Loans, requesting me to ring back on 01133894790. Quite the barrage, wouldn’t you say?
