So just got a call saying I’m some Jeanette and that I guaranteed a loan for this bloke Nigel, who on earth is that? Proper mess up by Amigo loans if you ask me!

Got a text from this number out of the blue, no clue who it is. Looks dodgy to me, so I'm adding it to my phone and labelling it as a scam. Don't trust it!

This number keeps blowing up my phone with texts even though I’ve told them to quit. They just don’t seem to listen and send messages non stop.

I have an Amigo loan and keep getting calls and emails saying I can get a top-up loan of up to £10,000! Over three years, the interest alone is about £7,500, which breaks down to roughly £48 a week. So in total, I'd be paying £112 a week. I've heard some people who’ve been contacted didn’t even know why, turns out someone close to them - maybe a mate or family member - used their details to apply. You have to approve it by sharing bank info and acting as a guarantor. Honestly, dealing with debt has been one of the worst things I've gone through, and Amigo Loans really seem to exploit that. I’d seriously recommend steering clear of them!

So apparently I’m called Muhammad and they’re offering me a loan - oh wait, did I just hit delete? What a pity!

Indeed, I've been inundated with a barrage of messages over the past few months, repeatedly addressed to 'Luke' and 'Cheryl.' The texts have come from individuals named Amanda, Charli, and Sarah, all claiming to be representatives from Amigo. I've communicated time and time again that I have no ties to their business whatsoever, yet it seems my pleas fall on deaf ears. Upon investigating further, I found that they market themselves as an "award-winning" company-I'd truly love to know what benchmarks they're using! For what it's worth, I believe you can reach their CEO at [email protected], and I would highly recommend filing a complaint with Trading Standards. They operate through your local council, and you can also report your concerns to the Citizens Advice helpline at 03454 04 05 06. Best of luck to you!

I’ve been getting texts for months from different people at Amigo, like Amanda, Charli and Sarah, but they keep calling me ‘Luke’ or ‘Cheryl’ which is weird. I’ve told them loads of times that I’ve never dealt with their firm at all, but they just don’t stop. I looked them up and they say they’re some kind of award-winning company... umm, I’d like to know how they got that! If you want, the CEO’s email might be [email protected]. I reckon it’s worth making a complaint with Trading Standards as well. You can reach out to Citizens Advice on 03454 04 05 06 to flag it up. Fingers crossed it helps!

I've been receiving persistent letters and texts from a loan firm called Amigo Loans, aimed at my late husband. It's utterly frustrating! We've never had any dealings with them, so why the incessant nuisance trying to persuade us into borrowing money? At my age of 69, this is the last thing I need to deal with. It's utterly disgraceful!

I’ve been inundated with messages and letters from this loan firm. It's quite maddening, really. I’m not looking for a loan at all, yet I've received over twenty correspondences just this January! It's astounding how persistent they are.

This loan firm has been constantly sending letters addressed to my late husband, and they keep texting my mobile. I've already reported them but they just won't stop. We never borrowed any money from them, so why they keep pestering me to apply for a loan now is beyond me. I'm 69 years old and really don’t need this stress. Absolutely shocking behaviour!

They keep messaging me but always get my name wrong. I've asked them to stop texting loads of times, but it just keeps going on. It's pretty annoying.

Got a message claiming I took out a loan with Amigo, which is totally false. They want me to click some link in the text. Proper annoying!

I’m not sure if this is just a dodgy loan outfit or an outright scam, but something about them doesn’t feel right at all. Could be a bit of both, to be honest. Wouldn’t trust them without checking out loads of reviews first.
