Got a call from someone with a thick Indian accent asking if I could answer some marketing questions. I said alright, answered one question, then just cut the call.

surely the mobile provider letting these scammers run free should be named and hit with a fine. it’s about time they took responsibility.

They almost had my name correct but completely messed up the postcode. When I told them about it, they just ended the call. Blocked them straight away.

Picked up the phone and could hear some voices in the background, asked if someone was actually going to speak to me, then I just ended the call.

it was really stressful and made me feel really on edge. the person on the phone kept saying i had some unclaimed ppi money. they asked for my personal info, but i told them i’ve never taken out loans or credit. still, they kept insisting there was ppi waiting for me. because of my mental health issues, the whole thing left me quite scared, especially since i have no idea how they got hold of my number in the first place.

Had two calls from this number, but when I tried to ring back, it just wouldn’t pick up, which really set off the warning bells. I’ve gone ahead and blocked it now. If it’s something serious and real, they’ll probably message instead.
