I looked up the number and it's from Giffgaff, based in Moffat. Me and my partner told them not to call again after they rang me at 2 in the morning. They sounded like foreigners and were really hard to understand apart from saying "hey, ring me back." Honestly, I'd say just don’t pick up and block the number.

Got a call out of the blue on my mobile early morning 04.10.18. A recorded message warned my BT broadband would be cut off that day. It told me to press 1 or 2 to prevent it. Pretty clear scam to me. I just ended the call straight away without pressing anything. If you get a call like this, just ignore it and hang up!

Same old thing again. Some guy speaking with a thick Indian accent claimed he was ringing from the Windows head office about some suspicious stuff happening on my computer. He did admit he wasn’t from Microsoft and kept saying “OK?” after every sentence, which was about the only thing I could catch. I told him straight that he was either trying to scam me out of money for fake problems he said my computer had or wanting to break in and steal my info. After a bit, he just hung up. Been getting a bunch of these calls recently, and quite often there’s no one on the line when I pick up.

Got the exact call as loads of others. Told the caller I’d ring the cops and they suddenly went quiet. Looks like these lot know the UK is an easy mark. Same here. Got one of those automated messages supposedly from BT, but why would a UK firm have someone talking with a weird, half-American accent? Made no sense.
