Got a text saying EE couldn’t take my direct debit, but I’m not even a customer with them! Proper weird.

I got a voicemail from this number on 5th December 2019, from Ayr, Scotland, saying something like "from 07857 833882 EE: we couldn't process your most recent bill. To prevent any charges, please update your billing details here: [#]ee-update.ref0185[###]/?ee=2". I don’t have an EE account, so I just ignored it.

Got a text from this number saying my EE direct debit didn’t go through and there was a link to fix it. I had a look at my bank app through a different way and everything seemed fine, no missed payments. My phone also warned me that the website looked suspicious. Definitely dodgy!
