Got a call from someone claiming to be Citizens Advice. I asked for his address so I could sort him out properly. Then I just started cussing till he hung up. It was a mobile number but I didn’t bother calling back the bloke, sounded like he had an Asian accent, called himself Kevin Jones or something.

Just after 6pm on Friday, I got a call from 07857 339050 but I didn't pick up and ended up blocking the number.

Some bloke rang me saying he was from the FCA, claiming I could get a refund on my loans. He mentioned I’d recently registered or something. I told him straight up (in his odd, very Indian accent) that I’ve got no loans or credit at all. Then he just said “Alright, bye” and hung up on me. The accent was a bit odd, like he was attempting a posh British twang but didn’t quite manage it. Proper strange.

Got a call from someone claiming to be "Money Advice" and saying I owed money. When I said I’d report them and called them out for being dodgy, they just told me to buzz off. Total scammer.

Just got a ring from this number claiming there’s a government plan for clearing debts. Told the person I wasn’t interested and they ended the call straight away. Definitely seemed like a scam to me.

Got a call from someone with a strong Asian accent, called himself David and claimed to be from "the money advice service". He kept going on about unsecured loans and some government programme. I told him flat out to buzz off and made sure he knew exactly what I thought of the whole thing. That number's blocked now.

In the beginning, he claimed I was paying way too much in interest on my debt. When I said I didn’t owe anything, he switched to asking about life insurance. As soon as I said I wasn’t interested, he just hung up on me. Honestly, no clue how they even find these numbers.

Got a call at half past six on a Friday from someone saying they were with the “credit investigation department.” Honestly, if you’re gonna pretend to be from a legit agency and use a UK mobile number for a scam, at least pick a name that sounds a bit believable. And maybe call during normal office hours when people in those jobs are actually working, instead of late on a Friday evening. Blocked straight away!

Got a call from someone with a foreign accent saying they were from some debt investigation team, claiming I owed money on a credit card. Thing is, I don’t have any debts like that. I told them quite nicely to go away. Isn’t Ofcom doing something about these scams? Thought they were cracking down?

someone rang me saying they were raising money for a charity and asked if i wanted to give anything, i told them no and hung up. it’s not that i don’t support charities, i just don’t feel comfortable giving money over the phone or internet, worry it might be a scam. i prefer putting my donations towards local causes where i can see the impact.

Some woman with a foreign accent rang me saying she was from the NHS. There was loads of background noise so I reckon it was fake. I tried ringing back but the number wouldn’t connect. I’ve blocked it now and won’t be picking up numbers I don’t know. Would honestly tell everyone else to do that too. If you call back and it doesn’t work, that’s a sure sign it’s dodgy.

some bloke said he was from some debt check place and asked if i owed any money, i just said no and told him this was a private number so how on earth did he get it? could barely understand the guy, sounded indian or something, but he did say some other firm had passed on my details. told him straight up to stop calling me again.
