Got a message from this number saying I needed to fill out tax info. They asked for my password which really made me doubt it was genuine. I didn't finish the form cause it seemed dodgy to me.

Just got a robocall from HMRC saying there's some fraud issue with my name. The message told me to hit 1 right away or I’d end up getting arrested. Now I’m just sitting here waiting to see if the police show up.

A couple of weeks back, my aunt got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC - total scammer alert. They tried to con her out of more than £600, which thankfully she dodged. We’ve made sure to block the number now so it won’t happen again.
