Got a call from someone claiming they'd lost their phone and wanted me to send money to help replace it. Seemed fishy to me!

Got a text saying it was my son's new number coz he'd broken his phone, but when I messaged his girlfriend to check, she said nothing like that had happened. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

They were after cash supposedly to cover our son's rent. When I asked to speak to him, they passed me to ‘Mum’ and wanted a believable sum. No way was it our boy! Totally a scam, without a doubt.
