I picked up and she asked if she was talking to miss "then my first name". I said, can I ask who's calling please? Then she just ended the call! I never give my name out on these calls, I only ever ask who it is first. I only took the call cos it was a mobile number, thought maybe it was someone I know. What’s the use of TPS anyway? I get loads of scam calls every day even though I’ve been signed up for years. My best advice, if you’re not busy, is pick up and keep 'em talking for as long as possible. It’s a way to waste their time and hopefully their cash too (I’m guessing they’re paying a fair bit to run all these numbers?).

Smart Promotions definitely feels like a scam. They want you to confirm your address (yeah right). When I asked how they got my info, the woman just hung up. Like with all these calls, never say ‘yes’ or repeat your name because your voice might be recorded and used to get into accounts that use voice ID.

Got a call from Alex at Smart Promotions claiming they’re handing out Christmas presents if you just click on a link they send by text. He was really pushy on the phone and ended the call when I said I wasn’t clicking any links and told him he’s clearly a scammer who needs to find better things to do. They speak so fast on purpose to throw you off.
