Heads up, I got a text today supposedly from Nationwide saying I’d requested a one-time passcode and to get in touch about it. Thing is, I never asked for anything like that. The number on the message was 02038298162. I reached out to Nationwide’s Fraud and Security team about it and they told me straight away it was a scam. I blocked both numbers just to be safe.

Just got a text from this number claiming to be Nationwide bank about some one-time code request. The message had a phone number, 02038298162, to call back. I wasn’t convinced so I contacted Nationwide’s Security and Fraud team. They told me it was a scam and definitely not from them, so I’ve blocked both numbers straight away. Watch out, lads!
