Got a call from some bloke abroad on this number, asking for me by name. Claimed he was with the Credit Fraud Agency and had checked my credit file. Then he started saying I had unsecured loans, and I told him I wasn't interested. Suddenly he got really loud and swore at me, telling me to "F### off" and calling me names. If you’re a BT customer, I’d recommend signing up to their call blocking service. I got a call from them on my mobile and after looking them up on this site, I blocked the number using my iPhone’s built-in feature. But yeah, like others have said, there really ought to be a proper way to completely stop these annoying calls.

I told him I dont owe anything (which is true) and he had no business ringing me. I ended the call and blocked the number. Ive also been getting calls from a different number with the same debt claim, blocked that one too. Looks like they keep switching numbers to keep ringing. I tried calling back from a withheld number but got a message saying the line isnt accepting calls right now.

This number gave me a ring earlier, but I didn’t pick up since I usually just ignore numbers I don’t recognise. Looks like that’s the smart way to go about it. I’m blocking it now, though I might take the call once just for a laugh.

Today, 24/8/17, I got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent claiming he was from Citizens Advice. He said my name and number were linked to some government scheme. I told him I wasn’t interested, and when I asked him to explain, he just kept pushing, so I hung up and blocked the number. The mobile was 07856 116 051.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming there was a Government scheme to clear unsecured debts. I told him I ain't got any, which is the truth, and he got all rude, calling me a liar! Then he said he'd send info to my house, but weirdly, wanted me to give my address first. Of course, I didn't. I reckon some folks might fall for this pressure stuff though. There really oughta be a way to block these scammers for good.

Some bloke said he was with the citizens advice bureau ringing about some debts I supposedly owed. I told him that the citizens advice bureau doesn’t ring people up about debts. Then he claimed it was about Brexit. I told him what I do for work, so I knew he was talking rubbish. He ended up calling me a lying b******d and then just cut me off! Made my morning, that did!

Got a call earlier today, they just asked for me using my first name only, no last name. I didn’t say anything and asked who it was instead. The bloke had a weird accent and said it was some "Credit Investigation Service." He claimed I had unsecured debts. I just replied sarcastically, "Oh really?" and "Is that so?" He got quiet for a sec, then told me to "F#ck off" and cut the call. Number’s blocked now. Strange one!

Got two calls from this number today. They had an Indian accent or something, saying they're some charity linked to the UK government helping me clear any debts I have. I said I wasn’t interested and just ended the call. This kind of thing feels risky, especially for folks drowning in debt - they might be desperate enough to fall for it and probably get scammed badly.

Got a spam call outta nowhere from some bloke claiming he was with Citizens Advice Bureau! He said there's a government program that could sort out my "unsecured debt" - totally sketchy if you ask me. People really struggling with debts might fall for this thinking it's legit help. I'm labelling this number as risky since they're obviously pretending to be someone they're not!

Got a call from an Asian guy saying he was with the citizens advice bureau, claimed he had details about my debts and mentioned some government scheme to help. I asked if he really worked for CAB and he suddenly got all rude, told me I was annoying him and basically told me to "f##k off" before hanging up. I've blocked his number now.

Had this really dodgy guy on the line, his English was pretty rubbish. Claimed he was from some CAB thing and told me I had debts on my house that weren’t secure. Offered to sort it out for a ‘tiny fee’. Problem is, I don’t even own a house, I’m renting! Ended up practically shouting at him down the phone, hope he’s got ringing ears now for a bit!
