Got a robocall this morning saying it was from PayPal, warning me about a dodgy transaction of more than £600. The message said the payment was stopped and told me to “press 1” to talk to an advisor. I ended the call straight away and then logged into my actual PayPal account on my own to check. No weird transactions or anything unusual. Seems like a total scam trying to freak you out so you hand over your info. Best to just hang up, don’t press any keys, and definitely don’t call them back or share any details.
