When we pressed for clarification about the origin of the call, they seemed taken aback by our question. We explained our reasoning quite clearly, but soon after, they wished us a good day, prompting me to end the conversation. Honestly, it’s perplexing to think that, as a resident of what’s purportedly a highly developed nation, I’m left grappling with such unsolicited calls from dubious sources. It feels rather like I’m fending off unwelcome pests!
