Got a call from this number quite early in the morning, pretty annoying to be woken up like that.

A bloke with a young Indian accent, calling himself Dan, phoned me from a company called Nergy or something like that. He claimed the government would replace my boiler for free. When he asked how old my boiler was, I said three days. He sounded a bit thrown off and there was a pause, like my answer wasn’t what he expected. Then he asked if I meant three years. I replied, in a grumpy tone, “No, I said three days.” After a few seconds to process that, he just hung up. I probably wasted a good few minutes of his dodgy scammer time!

I don't get why people ring me up without asking first. I didn't agree to chat or anything, just caught that the voice sounded foreign, maybe from India?

I didn’t answer as I didn’t know the number, so it went to voicemail. They just heard the message and hung up straight away. Real people usually leave a message, but these scammers never do. So yeah, you can probably guess who it was.
