Got a call from a lady who sounded like she was calling from India, trying to sell some life insurance policy. She was saying if I took out a £20 policy, they’d cancel it and supposedly pay me between £3,000 and £5,000 in PPI within a couple of weeks. But PPI doesn’t apply to life insurance, and it officially ended back in August 2019. They kept ringing me on different numbers for about an hour. The caller even told me to say I didn’t have any insurance policy if I spoke to a UK insurer. This feels like a scam and could get you in serious trouble. Best to just say no and stay clear.
