I received a rather suspicious text that read something like this: "PAY PAL: A fresh device has accessed your account. If this wasn’t you, please unlock your account via our secure link at: https://pp-hold.com." Naturally, I didn’t click on the link. Instead, I dialled the EE number mentioned in the message-only for it to ring and then abruptly disconnect. It's pretty obvious that PayPal wouldn't contact someone from what looks like a regular domestic number. How dodgy!
