got a text sayin hsbc uk: a new payee called mr p sherman was just added to your online bank account. if that’s not you, go to new-payee-confirm[###] to check. i searched the number with +447852813558 and it actually comes from brazil. complete rubbish, definitely a dodgy scam to watch out for.

Got a call claiming to be from HSBC UK saying a Mr P Sherman was linked to my online banking. They sent a link to click if I didn’t know about the transaction. Definitely a scam, best not to reply or click anything.

I got a message from this number claiming it was from HSBC UK saying some bloke called Mr P Sherman was added to my list of payees. No idea who that is or why they’d send me that, especially since I don’t even have an account with HSBC.
