Received a message earlier today from this number claiming to be PayPal, stating that my account had been suspended and that my funds were on hold. They included a dodgy link to supposedly restore my account. Clearly, this is a scam and not to be trusted.

Just the other day, I received a rather dodgy message from this number claiming there was some unusual activity linked to my PayPal account. They had the cheek to include a dodgy link that directed me to a site requesting my login credentials and credit card info, CVC and all. After a quick chat with PayPal, they assured me that they hadn’t sent any such messages, so it seems likely that someone was trying to play a trick, potentially using a genuine number to lend some false credibility. Sadly, I fear others might not be as wise and could end up losing a hefty sum to this trickery.
