Got a message claiming to be from Halifax about some £240 recipient thing, with a link included. Seems like a scam to me. I'm in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Got a text earlier from someone saying it was Halifax, telling me I’d added a new payee for £240 from some device I didn’t recognise. They included a link to "signin-onlinesecure[###]" and said I should click there to stop the payment if it wasn’t me. Thing is, I don’t even bank with Halifax, so this was definitely dodgy. Best to avoid clicking that link, it’s a total scam.

Halifax just sent me a message saying a new payee was added for £240 on the 17th November at 6:59pm from a device they don’t recognise. They told me to verify my device and cancel the payment if I didn’t do it through some link: [#]secureonline-verify[###]. Sounds fishy to me.
