Just got a text outta nowhere, telling me to visit a dodgy website it claimed was for HSBC. Definitely a scam trying to trick folks into clicking on a fake link. Watch out, don’t trust these texts!

the bloke said his name was steven and i told him ive had like 10 calls from him in an hour and to stop already. he went on saying if i dont listen to him he’s gonna scam me or something. i just laughed and told him what a joke that is before putting the phone down. he’s only trying to freak me out but nothing’s gonna happen.

Got a text from someone pretending to be HSBC telling me a new payee was added to my account and to click a link to confirm. I rang HSBC direct and they told me it’s a total scam and to avoid clicking anything like that.
