They called saying they were from a debt collection agency. When I asked where they got my number from, they just hung up. The number was blocked too.

I ignored this call and looked it up here, found out it’s a spam number so I blocked it straight away. Thanks a lot to everyone for posting about these annoying calls. Ive been getting them all the time for the past couple weeks, always from new numbers though. Blocked every single one!

Debt collectors got really mad when i told them i was gonna report them to the fraud squad. Please report this number, they target elderly folks and its a serious scam. I already passed the details over to the police. Very dangerous people.

Some bloke called himself "Steve Walker" from the Money Advice part of the so-called "Citizens Advice Department" in Manchester. When I asked for his company registration number, he just said I could look it up on Google. I said I shouldn’t need to do that, and then he got all aggressive, telling me to "Hang up now!" and just cut me off!

Got a call from this number today, they wanted me to verify my name but I didn’t do it. When I asked who they were, all I got was a load of nonsense and then they just hung up. I’ve blocked the number now (and after seeing what others are saying, I’m happy I did!).

Some guy calling himself Luke, says he’s from a credit check firm. He rang me three times one after the other, so I figured it must be important. But nope, just another tosser trying to scam. I’ve blocked the number now.

Loads of calls lately from different numbers, this one included. The person on the line could hardly speak English and kept saying their system showed I owed money that I needed to clear. Definitely a scam!

She called out my name but when I asked who was calling she just avoided it. Had a really strong Indian-Indonesian accent. Claimed to be from some credit or debt company. When I asked which company she worked for, she said ‘citizen’s advice’. I told her I hadn’t asked for a call and then she just hung up on me. Proper mad!
