I got a message from this number saying my post had "insufficient postage." I was expecting a parcel from Amazon so almost got caught out, but it felt odd it came from a personal mobile claiming to be the Post Office or Royal Mail. So, I decided to look up the number on Google first. Just as I guessed, it turned out to be a scam most likely.

Someone got in touch with me on this number after I put up an ad on Gumtree. They messaged me on WhatsApp asking if I’d sell an item and post it to them since they weren’t nearby. They said they'd pay once I sent it. Turns out, it’s a complete scam often seen on Gumtree and Facebook Marketplace. Stay aware!
