I got a call from someone claiming to be from the "accident management bureau", asking if I’d had an accident, if anyone in my family was in the car, and for my full name plus reg plate. Of course, I gave them made-up info and then the call just dropped. The bloke sounded like he had a Mexican/American accent, so I blocked the number straight away.

UPDATE AS OF 26/11/2016. HAVENT HAD A RING FROM THEM SINCE, BUT FROM WHAT I’VE HEARD, THE PHONE COMPANIES (WHO PROBABLY MAKE A TONNE OF MONEY OFF THESE CALLS) AREN’T DOING JACK ABOUT IT. THAT SOUNDS ABOUT RIGHT TO ME.

They've been ringing all day but it's impossible to make out what they're trying to sell. It's from some lifestyle group. When we asked them to stop bothering us, they actually responded with a rude comment, something like "why you gotta be bad with me?" Every time we've picked up, the voice sounds American. Someone really needs to get on top of this.

Got three calls from this number today. Missed the first one 'cos I was asleep, but the ringing managed to stir me a bit! Looked up the number here and when they rang again, I just declined it. The third time I got a bit fed up and picked up. It was a woman named Mary from some company called Lifestyle UK asking me to do a survey. Told her I don’t do phone surveys, thanks, and hung up. Haven't heard from them since, thankfully.

Alright, here’s how they probably got hold of my number. I set up this mobile for just 99p, only to hand it out to "recruitment firms" after their annoying "no jobs available" ads.
