At the time, I honestly thought the message was legit since I had recently been taken to A&E in an ambulance, so it wasn’t too far-fetched to think I might’ve been exposed to Omicron. So, I ended up paying the postage fee. Now, I’m not sure which card or bank account I used for that payment. I’ll try to track it down, but what’s the best way to make sure they don’t keep withdrawing money from my account?

Got a text saying I'd been near someone with the omicron variant. Honestly, seems pretty unlikely to me!

Got a message this morning around 5:29am on 13/06/2022 from +44 7851 488892. It said something like, “You’ve had close contact with someone who tested positive for Omicron. Please book a PCR test on the official health site.” The site they gave was national-health-uk.com which looked really dodgy to me, not the proper NHS site at all. Pretty sure this is some kinda phishing trick, so watch out and don’t click on links like that!

Same thing happened with that omicron call, just wiped the number and threw it on block.

Got a text saying I'd been near someone with Omicron - sounds fishy to me! I reported it to 7726 straight away. The site they directed me to was only set up a few days ago. No doubt, it's a total scam.

Got a text about Omicron and was told to ring the NHS to get a test. Saw the messages but decided it wasn’t worth the hassle, so I just ignored it.
