I received a call from a number claiming to be Barclays' fraud department, stating there were attempted withdrawals from my account. Apparently, there was a £300 transaction from Amazon and another hefty one for over a grand from abroad. Since my bank never contacts me via mobile for such matters, I immediately sensed something was off. They were asking me to press 1 or 2, which raised even more alarm bells. So, I promptly ended the call.
