About a week back, i got myself a lycamobile sim for the first time and since then ive been getting loads of sales calls. Just a couple days ago, a missed call popped up from 07850056667. I picked up today and some person was asking for ‘paulo’, which isnt me at all. When i asked how they got my number, they said it was probably a mix-up and promised to remove it from their list.

I keep getting calls for my husband, and when I asked what c.a.r.s meant, they just brushed it off saying they’d email him. Trouble is, he never received any email or the letters they mentioned.

They phoned me today and mentioned they'd keep calling continuously! I haven't got any letters yet, although they claimed they already sent some.

I didn’t give them any info and they sounded annoyed. they mentioned sending a letter, but I never got anything through. best to just block them - it’s probably a scam trying to gather your info and pass it on to other dodgy people.

One of the sketchiest scam calls I’ve gotten. They start by saying it’s about something personal and won’t tell you anything until you give them your birthdate and postcode. They kept switching between saying they were from CRS and then CRIS. I just ended the call straight away.

They called me claiming to be from some kinda debt collection firm, but started off with "Hey, how are you doing?" Right away I thought, bit dodgy. Then they go on about some 'mutually beneficial business matter' and start asking for your info - obviously no bank or card details though. When I asked straight up if they were collectors, they flat out denied it. Then when I pressed on what they actually did, they said it was confidential. Who’d keep chatting after that nonsense? Honestly, just hang up and block them off your phone. Complete muppets.

Twice now I've had calls from this number where they keep pressing me to verify my personal info, but they never say why they're calling. They mentioned they'd drop me an email, but wouldn't let on which address they'd be sending it to. Pretty fishy if you ask me.

Today, someone phoned me asking for my personal details but I wasn’t comfortable sharing anything since they couldn’t explain the reason for their call. They claimed they’d already sent me a letter about it, which I found quite hard to believe. I just said no and hung up on them.

They kept trying to get me to share personal details, which I refused, so then they threw my address back at me! Still wouldn’t explain the reason for the call tho. They kept bringing up some letter they supposedly sent me.

Ended up going nowhere, so I just hung up.

I got a call and decided to ring back. When I answered, they asked for my email but never mentioned which company they were representing. I pressed them on who they actually were, and all they said was "C A R S," but gave no other details. Feels like a scam to me, right?
