I got a voicemail saying I'd bought something for £399 and the money was being taken from my credit card. But I hadn’t made any purchase like that. I looked at my Amazon account online and even rang them up - no record of any order. Then I checked my credit card statement, and no payment had gone through either. Both Amazon and my card provider told me it was definitely a scam, just like I suspected.
