I got a call from some automated voice with a really heavy American accent saying they were from HM Revenue & Customs. Apparently, I was at risk of going to court, had a fine to pay, and could end up in jail. They wanted me to press 1 to talk to someone, but I didn’t bother. I'm fairly certain HMRC doesn’t ring from a mobile number, and they never mentioned my name or any info to prove they were actually speaking to me. Feels like a total tax scam if you ask me!
