Got a call on my mobile from some woman speaking with an American accent saying HM Revenue and Customs wanted to speak to me about unpaid taxes. She threatened jail time or a fine if I didn’t respond. They told me to press 1 to chat with an agent. Totally rubbish, so I hung up and blocked the number straightaway. I tried ringing back on a different phone but the number was dead. Classic scam, no doubt about it.
