I got a call from 0784610105, the woman on the line was Asian and said I had to ring another number because some company supposedly had a PPI refund waiting for me. They keep pushing you to pay something upfront before they send the cheque. It’s definitely a con. I reported it to Action Fraud already, recommend you do the same.

Got a call earlier from someone with an Indian accent. They kept messing up how to say my name, so I just ended the call.

I just hung up straight away. The bloke started shouting all sorts, saying I was going to be arrested over some PPI thing I never even asked about. Proper rude and aggressive. I told him if they're a legit company, they should at least say they're recording the call right from the start.

Some bloke with an Indian accent rang up asking for the old owner of this place - seems like he was working off old info. I told him the person he wanted wasn’t here anymore and asked what he wanted, but he just stayed silent and then cut the call. Definitely sounded dodgy to me. Best to block the number and report it to Ofcom and the ICO, which I’ve already done.

I received a rather dubious message claiming I'd been granted a PPI payout of £3080 and that a certain Mr Craig White would be delivering it to my doorstep by 5.00pm. However, the catch was that I had to purchase an Apple iTunes gift card worth £250 first to claim my funds from Mr White! I must admit, I was quite irritated when I suggested that I’d prefer to wait for Mr White to arrive with the cash, so we could fetch the gift card together. Clearly, this was a scam of the highest order!

I’m expecting some funds for a few individuals and was planning to hand over a cheque next week. I tried to gather more details but ended up cutting the call short.

Absolutely ludicrous… it was clear as day that I was dealing with a PPI fraudster who couldn’t care less about coming off as halfway credible. When I cheekily inquired about the name of the company (already knowing full well), he suggested I Google “PPI Advisory Group” and claimed he was an employee of the first result-what a merry joke! He was rather evasive with his name, but when I pressed him, he randomly threw out “Jack Dawson.” Quite a peculiar name for someone from that part of the world, though who am I to critique accents? I could practically hear him wilt right there when I quipped, “Oh, is that Jack Dawson as in the film Titanic?”

I've had several calls today that my call screening service caught. When I tried calling the number back, I got a message stating it wasn’t a legitimate number. I've now gone ahead and blocked any further calls from them.

Received a call informing me that I was due a payout of £2200 from a PPI claim. I was instructed to ring a 0161 number, followed by another 0161, and supposedly someone would deliver the cash to me. The caller had an accent that seemed to be from South Asia, but honestly, they all blend into one when they’re just reciting from a script.

Got a call today from this number saying I was due £2860 from a PPI claim and it would arrive tomorrow. Then they rang again from the same number asking me to confirm the amount. They told me to pop to the shops and buy an Apple iTunes voucher for £50, then ring 01616609772 with the voucher code. Obviously, this is a total scam.

Got a call sayin I had some PPI thing from Lloyds and that a bloke called Craig White was gonna drop it off today. They told me to ring a number to sort the delivery. When I asked for their details, the line just went dead. The guy sounded like he had a thick Asian accent, and said his name was Martin. Yeah, sure! Total scam, don’t fall for it.

I got a call from a bloke claiming he was from some ppi outfit and somehow had all my info. He said I'd recently made a claim against Barclays for ppi, which is completely rubbish as I've never even had an account with them. I humoured him for a bit just to see where it was going. Turns out, he said he was with a firm named PPI Claims Easy.
