So, this guy kept texting me non-stop for like five minutes, pretending to be a kid saying ‘dad, save my new number’. Then out of nowhere, he starts asking for my bank details to clear some ‘urgent debt’, claiming he’d invest the money and pay me back, while still calling me ‘dad’. Honestly, it’s obviously a scam, these scammers really need to sort themselves out 🙄

This was one of those "Dad remember this number" scams where the caller pretends to be your kid and then asks for a favour, typically to send money to some random bank account to clear an urgent "debt," claiming they’ll pay you back by the month's end. Obviously, it's a con.
