I put up a car for sale on Gumtree and got a call from someone in Pakistan - total nonsense about a crash and all that rubbish.

I put an ad on Gumtree and almost immediately got a call from a guy who sounded Indian. Out of curiosity, I tried ringing the number he called me from but the line showed up as "Unobtainable". Strange thing is, that number was the one on display. No idea how they do it, but it seems they’re able to show a number that isn’t even real. Quite dodgy if you ask me.

Stay clear of these muppets! Right after I put up a car for sale on Gumtree, they rang me up claiming I’d been in an accident. I told them I hadn’t, but they kept insisting, saying someone in my family had to have been involved - total rubbish. They called me from an 0800 number as well. Definitely block 08002781995 if you get a call from them, and have a look online for more complaints about this number.
