4 yearsI didn’t get her name, but she told me that some engineers were working nearby and could drop by to inspect our panels. According to her, our panels were installed about 10 to 12 years ago, so we qualify for an annual maintenance check. She mentioned that her diary manager, Emily, would ring back to set up a time. Since then, I looked into it and EON say there’s really not much maintenance needed - just to make sure the readings stay fairly steady. The only thing likely to break is the inverter. I’m waiting for Emily’s call to cancel the appointment.EmilyEON4 yearsI got a call on my mobile from someone claiming to be with The Energy Support Hub, saying they’ve taken over my solar panel warranty and wanted to set up a visit to inspect the system and make sure everything’s running smoothly. At first, I said yes to the appointment, but something felt off. So, I looked up The Energy Support Hub online and rang them to double-check if they’d really called me. They told me it wasn’t them at all. Seems like a dodgy marketing trick, but what really worried me was that the caller already had all my contact details and info about my solar setup. The Energy Support Hub4 yearsThey said they were calling from a solar panel warranty company about a 10 year service inspection, but they couldn’t even tell how many panels were installed at my place.4 yearsGot a call from 07845531307, it was some bloke with a weird accent saying he was from "eeh" or something. When I said I wasn't interested in the call, he went off on me for being rude and just ended the call. Proper annoying cold call!4 yearsPicked up the phone and there was total silence on the other end before the call suddenly dropped. Bit odd, really. Happened again today but this time it was from a different mobile - 07398 709529, if you want to watch out.4 yearsNo sound, absolutely nothing came through.5 yearsSome bloke rang me up but never gave his name. He said the company that put my solar panels in had gone bust, and because of that, my warranty was no good. He claimed they needed to come and check my panels. When I told him I was sure the company was still up and running, he got proper annoyed and told me it was my problem before slamming the phone down. I rang the company that installed the panels myself, and they said it was a total scam and they're definitely still operating.5 yearsSo, these folks from some energy efficiency place ring me up, saying they’ve taken over the warranty for the company that put in our solar panels. They offered a ‘free’ check to make sure everything was working right. I’m pretty sure if we’d said yes, they would’ve found all sorts of problems to charge for. When I asked where they got my number from, the guy got all awkward and couldn’t answer. Then he started saying our warranty was void because I didn’t book their service, and just hung up on me. Definitely gonna block that number.5 yearsHad a bloke named John show up the other day, took some snaps of my solar panels. Honestly, I haven’t a clue what his purpose was.John5 yearsGot a call but nobody said anything, just dead silent on the other end. Really odd.5 yearsI never got his name, but he seemed to have grabbed some details from Rightmove about my home. He tried to arrange a viewing, saying it was up for sale, which it definitely isn't. Also, he mentioned the listing was in the Birmingham Echo, but it's actually the Birmingham Mail, not the Echo. Quite confusing really!Birmingham EchoBirmingham Mail5 yearssome woman said she was from eeh and tried booking a service for my solar panels. ive had those panels up for like 15 years and no ones ever called me about them before. told her ive moved and then ended the call.EEH5 yearsGot a call from some bloke about solar panels, sounded like one of those annoying sales calls. Definitely spam, don't bother picking up!5 yearsGot a call from a woman who claimed she was having an affair with my husband, which was really upsetting.5 yearsgot a random call outta nowhere, told the lady I wasn’t interested, then she called me back cursing like mad. said it’s a burner number and she’s gonna keep ringing all day, every day. I counted like 30 calls in just 4 hours. I’ve talked to the cops and am trying to get my phone company to block the number. they told me to contact the TPS since I’m already signed up there, might be able to take legal action. honestly, not getting my hopes up tho.Telephone Preference Service5 yearsI got a call from this number saying they wanted to set up a 20 year check for our solar panels. Thing is, we haven't had solar panels for anywhere near 20 years. Sounds like a total scam to me. Watch out if you see this number pop up!5 yearsI had somewhat the same thing happen to me, but when I refused to book a meeting, the person got a bit annoyed.5 yearsJust got a call out of the blue from someone saying they’re from “Energy Efficiency Hub Ltd,” claiming they’re stopping by to do a free check on my solar panels as part of my warranty. They said their engineer is nearby this week and wants to set up an appointment. Funny thing is, I looked them up and saw that Companies House officially closed them down back in July 2018 after only a year and a half in business. Seems dodgy to me!Energy Efficiency Hub LtdCompanies HouseSubmit Your Own Report (07845 531307)
