Got a text supposedly from the NHS saying I’d been near someone with the Omicron variant, with a link to order a test kit. This is the second one I’ve had this week, both from different numbers. I’m just blocking them straight away. It’s like a never-ending flood of scam calls and messages this week. Here we go again... just keep hitting block!!!

Received a message from this number just after 1am saying they were from the NHS, telling me I’d been near someone with the Omicron variant and to visit a site to get a test kit. Sounds like a total scam to me.

Got a call from someone pretending to be the NHS, saying I’d been near a person who tested positive for covid. They told me to click on a link to book a test appointment. Sounds dodgy to me.

Someone stopped me on the street talking about saving energy, and I said yes to a phone chat at a set time. The same number rang me a couple of times earlier, but when I picked up, there was no one there. Honestly, I’m regretting sharing my info now.

Looks like this number belongs to a call centre, since I've noticed loads of reports on similar ones, just the last few digits change. It's typical for telemarketers to operate with a bunch of related numbers. Most complaints mention things like PPI claims, insurance selling, and accident recovery firms, sometimes they say they’re from a group called First Call. Basically just another big call centre. I blocked this one and the similar ones using the app from this site, works well, no issues. Has anyone else had someone pick up this number? Same type of calls or anything else?
