Got a text out the blue saying "new number mum". When I replied, they quickly carried on with some story like... "I saw a bill in my mailbox that needs paying before 5pm. I want to log into my online banking but can’t because I just changed my phone and have to wait 24 hrs to get access again. Could you sort the payment for me? I’ll pay you back, promise." It was dead obvious to me it was a scam, so I just played along for a while to waste their time.
