Total scam, I’ve blocked the number now. Picked up because I was waiting on a call from a tradesman but it was from an unknown mobile. The bloke had a weird accent, sounded like a mix of American and something else. He used an old last name of mine and claimed he was with a credit investigation team asking about some debt and if I was late paying bills. When I asked where he was calling from, he said Manchester but then slipped up saying he had my info "over here," which sounded totally off. Told him it’s a scam and hung up straight away. Number’s blocked for good.

There was a lot of shouting from what sounded like a call centre before a man with an Asian accent asked if I was Mr Paul, which is my first name. I politely said I wasn’t interested, but he snapped back with “I haven’t even said anything yet.” I just told him to basically piss off and then blocked his number.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Kiran from the Credit Investigation team. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me. I checked the FCA and apparently these people are doing consumer credit stuff without any proper licensing. Just a heads up for anyone else!

Some bloke with an Asian accent rang me claiming he was from some sort of Credit Control... couldn’t catch exactly what. When I asked where he was calling from and which company, he just blurted out “the British Government.” Sussed he’d messed up and quickly cut the call. Proper dodgy scammer, that one.

TOTAL SCAM - Some woman called herself Kirin from "Citizens Ad-wice" (yeah right!). Her accent was thick, somethin like Asian or Indian, and she said she had details on my debts. Tried to get info off me but the moment I didn't play along, she just cut me off. Blocked the number sharpish. Also, can't ring back since the number's fake or unlisted - classic scam move. Definitely reported these dodgy lot.

I got a call from someone saying they were with Citizens Advice and had my details. They said they wanted to talk about credit card debts I’m supposedly paying every month. When I asked which cards they meant, they just asked how many credit cards I have. I told them if they had my info, they’d know already, then suddenly they just ended the call.

Got a call from some dodgy call centre lot pretending they want to 'help' sort out your debts. Honestly, sounds just as fishy and risky as those scams targeting people after crashes or insurance claims. Definitely something to be wary of!
