Just got a call from this number. Some Indian bloke said it was about my unsecured debts that I supposedly hadn’t paid off. When I told him I don’t have any unsecured debts, he went on about my credit card bills and claimed this info was on the Financial Conduct Authority’s site, which isn’t true at all because the FCA doesn’t share stuff like that. He wouldn’t say who he was or which company he was calling on behalf of. When I pointed out he was ringing from what looks like a mobile and insisted it sounded like a scam, he got quite annoyed. I ended the call.

Spoke to a nice Indian woman who said she was from the financial conduct authority. Had to ask four times before she finally mentioned where she was supposedly calling from. Also, she couldn’t even get the name right.

Got a call from an Indian bloke saying I owe money under my name. I ran the number through mobilecheck[###] and it came back as 'UNKNOWN SUBSCRIBER', so basically a fake number. Definitely a scam.

Guy with an Indian accent called me up, used my name and said he was from some credit investigation team. Since I don’t owe any money to anyone and he didn't properly check my name, I told him straight away to take my mobile number off their list and stop ringing me. It felt like a scam, so I warned him I’d block the number, then I ended the call before he could say more.

Got a call from an Indian guy who strangely called me "Mr" followed by my first name. Whenever that happens, I’m pretty sure it’s a scam. He claimed to be from some credit department but never mentioned which firm, which was a bit dodgy. He acted like he knew I was drowning in debts (totally not true). When he asked me to confirm this, I told him no and that I’m on the TPS, then he quickly hung up like a coward. Of course, I’ve blocked the number now.

SCAM ALERT. A man called me claiming his name was Jack, but he had a really strong foreign accent. He said he was from some legal investigation group and that I owed money. I told him straight I don’t have any debts and said it was awful for him to try and deceive people like that. He kept insisting he was telling the truth and kept pushing with his scam. Don’t answer calls like this. I only answered because I thought it was a legitimate call.

Somebody called saying they were from the citizens advice bureau and claimed I was behind on debts. I told them I seriously doubted it was the CAB and that I had no debts at all. They just hung up on me.
