Honestly, I think just give this caller a miss. When I spoke to him, he first said he was with the county council, but when I questioned him he changed it to say he was just contracted by them. On the 22nd of April 2021, at about 12:03pm, I got a call and the person seemed rude when I told them I wasn’t interested in any free insulation check. They started saying it wasn’t up to me but that some new law made it mandatory! That’s when I ended the call, thinking it was some kind of scam. What really worried me was that they used both my name and address, and even hinted they had info about what government grants I got before for insulation work.

I got a call from a bloke named Michael Lewis claiming he was told to contact me about energy stuff. When I asked who exactly sent him, he accused me of being sarcastic! I told him to stop calling me, but he said he’d keep ringing. I hung up, but he called two more times after that. The third time, my son picked up and the caller just hung up. Honestly, the guy was nasty, dishonest, and quite intimidating.

Got a call from this guy who was pushing insulation work, think he said his name was Lewis or something like that. Honestly, I wasn’t bothered to listen properly or show much interest. He was quite disrespectful and spoke dismissively about the TPS, which, sure, isn’t perfect but it’s pretty much the only thing we have to stop annoying calls like his. What a daft bloke, I wouldn’t trust him to sell me a sandwich even if I was starving. Definitely steer clear - really rude and a bit of a menace.

On 8.8.2019 at about 2:23pm, I called him out for ringing me from a mobile to sell stuff and he snapped back sharply, saying I was calling him a scammer.

What a complete numpty, acting like he’s an expert on home insulation when clearly he’s not. I just let him ramble on, chatting away to himself because he seems to be head over heels for his own voice. Proper rude and full of insults too.

This number’s been ringing my phone loads recently but I haven’t picked up once. Not a single message left either which is annoying. If they’re trying to seem real, surely a voicemail would help?

Got a call from some pushy bloke telling me our loft was in urgent need of work. He kept going on, saying if I didn’t cooperate I’d be labelled ‘brown’ and unhelpful or something like that. Honestly, it was a bit scary, especially since I’m an older person living on my own. He threatened to keep calling every day for a while. We’ll wait and see if he actually does.

Some bloke called asking if I was Mrs something, I said no and asked what he wanted. Then he asked if I was the homeowner and I said no again, asked what it was about. He said insulation issues. I told him my partner’s insulation was fine (which I know for certain). He then said he doubted that and just hung up on me, really rude and disrespectful. Even if there was a problem, I wouldn’t have spoken to anyone like that. Watch out for the number 07843736913.

some bloke rang up calling himself matthew lewis, asking for mrs morton but this isn’t her number at all. i told him nicely that he’s got the wrong one and asked him to take my number off his list. he just said no and claimed i’d been rude! cheeky sod, he was the one who disturbed my kid’s nap! i reckon i was more than polite. next time, i’ll just block the call straight away.

Got a bloke calling me about my roof insulation needing an upgrade, said he was from a firm called ‘Home Energy Solutions’ or something close to that. Tried to ram some dodgy science down my throat and kept banging on about new rules or whatever. Proper rude the lad was. Honestly, best to just hang up or keep him chatting to waste his time and stop him making a commission.

Some bloke called John Lewis rang me, said he was a senior surveyor and was updating phone numbers or summat. He then tried to pitch an installation deal for everywhere in my postcode. When I said no thanks, he goes on about how I’ve missed out on some kinda install with 35% off - sounded a bit dodgy to me. Can’t believe they try stuff like that!
