I got a call today from this number saying it was HMRC. But why would HMRC use a mobile number to ring me? They normally send letters or official letters before calling. Seems fishy to me.

I got a call today from this number, and the person said they were from HMRC. But why on earth would HMRC ring me from a mobile? Normally they send you letters first, don’t they? I ended the call straight away without even letting them say anything else, then I blocked the number.
